ANSI HIGH VELOCITY & HIGH MASS IMPACT
High Velocity Impact:
Frame and lens must withstand the impact of a 6.35 mm steel ball fired at 164,6 km/h. The lens must remain in the frame and not shatter. The frame must remain intact as well.
All our eyewear is ANSI High Velocity Impact tested.
High Mass Impact:
Wiley X ANSI tested frames and lenses must withstand the weight of a 500 grams pointed projectile dropped from a height of 127 cm.
VO BALLISTIC TEST
VO Ballistic Test: Frame and lens must withstand a 3,8 mm projectiles fired at 700-720 km/h (spectacle). Goggles must withstand 5,56 mm projectiles fired at a rate of 594-612 km/h.
This ensures our lenses and frames are practically indestructible.
EN.166 STANDARD
EN.166S (Safety glasses):
Frame and lens must withstand the impact of a 22 mm steel ball weighing 43 grams dropped from 1,3 meters at a speed of 18 km/h. The lens must remain in the frame and is not to shatter. The frame must remain intact as well.
EN.166F (Safety glasses):
Frame and lens must withstand the impact of a 6 mm steel ball weighing 86 grams fired at 162 km/h. The lens must remain in the frame and is not to shatter. The frame must remain intact as well.
EN 166.B (Safety goggles):
Frame and lens must withstand the impact of a 6 mm steel ball weighing 86 grams fired at 432 km/h. The lens must remain in the frame and is not to shatter. The frame must remain intact as well.
